Champagne geek, lavender farmer and triple-gold award-winning author, Rebecca Rosenberg gives a riveting visual presentation at her speaking events. Her subjects are the three women who revolutionized champagne-making from 1800 to 1950, Veuves (widows) Clicquot, Pommery and Bollinger.
Through colorful visuals and engaging stories, Rebecca's tells how these women battled pandemics, mental illness, sexist laws against women owning businesses, terrible wars, enemy occupation, and even Napoleon Bonaparte to forge their champagne empires. They risked imprisonment and even death, while breaking all the rules to make champagne and founding the largest champagne houses of today.
The first in the series, Champagne Widows, Rebecca's novel about Veuve Clicquot, garnered an Historical Novel Society Editor's Choice Award in 2022.
